Allkorn
is a non-profit association dedicated to the preservation of peasant grains (allkorn.se). NaturKulturVen cultivates swidden rye, black and red emmer, spelt, and other cereal varieties to contribute to and expand the association’s seed stock. Together with Allkorn, we organise public events around cultivation, including field walks, workshops on harvesting (using scythes and sickles), threshing (with both manual and electric equipment), and tastings of bread baked from the varieties we grow. Our activities are hosted in collaboration with skilled and knowledgeable practitioners.Seraina Grupp
is a transdisciplinary artist working with social practice in art and food, focusing on contemporary struggles and crises through the social lens of food and environments. Grupp is a core member of NaturKulturVen, co-organising events around food, cultivation, and fermentation, and contributing sensory dimensions of taste, texture, and botanical seasonality.Feral Malmö
is a design studio based in Malmö that promotes biodiversity—for the benefit of hedgehogs, hogweed, eelgrass, eels, moss, mice, and people alike. Under the direction of Professor Anna Cord (Agro-Ecological Modelling), researchers and students from the University of Bonn have been visiting Ven since 2024 to map the ecological conditions and management practices of the island’s nature reserves.Yi Ten Lau
is an artist exploring the transculturality of materials, sounds, and symbols, questioning notions of cultural and national belonging as a Spanish–Hong Kong descendant. Lau has developed artistic actions in dialogue with the local festival Pick Nick in Bäckviken, as well as with the island choir Ö-kören.Hosting Lands
moves nomadically between sites and communities across Denmark, building bridges to and between international self-organized initiatives and collectives. Hosting Lands is collaborating with NaturKulturVen in a series of events with artist Dharmendra Prasad, The Harvest School, based in Buxar, India.Merumput Laut / Seaweed Etcetera
is a collaborative initiative documenting coastal areas and the slowly declining seaweed farming practices on the east coast of Nusa Penida, Bali, through photography and graphic recording. The collective visited Ven in 2024 and 2025 to study and exchange experiences around shifting coastal cultures and ecosystems in decline. In 2027, NaturKulturVen will visit Merumput Laut in Bali, continuing the exchange.Further visitors and collaborators:
